Open Question: I Imported a Movie From My Camcorder Using Windows Movie Maker But Everything Plays Like Passing Forward?

I'm have a DV camera (8mm Tape) SonyDCR-TRV260 I had trouble imported because my camera doesn't play the movie right ever since I came back from Puerto Rico, i'm assuming the Humanity. Anyway I left it running and it finally imported right without having any problems, but when i play the movie it came out like you know when you pass forward and you can't hear the voice only like chipmunks; why did it do that and how can i fix it. I don't want to go through the whole importing again because it take like 2 hours, and other programs like click to disc don't detect the tape. what can i do please I need to turn this into DVD; i'm using Firewaire (IEE) Email me if I left any information out that you need to help solve the problem....
